Current info – Coronavirus: New information and current regulations

Dear Students,

The University of Konstanz continues to be in "Notbetrieb" (standby operations) by order of its crisis task force. No one may enter the campus and all university buildings. We cannot yet say how long emergency operations will be in effect, but this will at least last through 19 April 2020. Further information behind the tile "FAQ on emergency operations": uni.kn/en/coronavirus

The summer semester 2020 will take place at the University of Konstanz. Lectures will start on 20 April 2020 with some initial online-based courses. However since the "Corona-Verordnung" (corona regulations) of the state of Baden-Württemberg from 17 March 2020 (in the version from 28 March 2020) includes a ban on public assembly which is expected to be in effect through 15 June 2020, at least the first half of the summer semester 2020 at the University of Konstanz will be held online. This is why the teaching staff are currently devising suitable alternatives to face-to-face teaching. Further information will be published in the EIN|BLICK and at www.uni-konstanz.de/elearning (currently only in German available) shortly.

At the direction of the state of Baden-Württemberg and until further notice, all examinations for which you have to be present at the university (written exams, oral exams, doctoral examinations) are cancelled during “Notbetrieb” (standby operations). No examinations are currently taking place. On 17 March 2020, the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports Baden-Württemberg decided that all final examinations (state examinations) have been cancelled for teacher education students. Irrespective of the “Notbetrieb” (standby operations), all examinations have already been cancelled since 16 March 2020 in line with a directive of the Ministry of Science, Research and Arts Baden-Württemberg (MWK).
